Dr Andrew Harrold is dedicated to providing a high quality level of care to his patients. He is considerate of his patients’ busy schedules and prides himself on providing a comfortable and professional service. Andrew graduated his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland in 2007 with Honours. He received several academic awards whilst in his final year of study.

He began his career in the public health sector in North Queensland. From there, he branched out to private practice, working as a dentist in the Australian Defence Force and supervising dental students within Queensland Health. Andrew has since worked predominantly in private practice and has undertaken extensive training in oral surgery and implant dentistry. He completed a postgraduate degree in the Graduate Diploma of Oral Implantology in 2017.

Andrew also has always held a strong interest in anterior aesthetic dentistry and is a certified Invisalign provider. His meticulous attention to detail ensures you achieve your desired results. Combining his surgical skills with an eye for aesthetics, Andrew offers a comprehensive management of smile design involving missing teeth.

Andrew grew up in Brisbane and moved to Sydney in 2009. He spent part of his childhood in Hong Kong. Andrew’s interests outside of dentistry and postgraduate studies are music, golf, fishing and taking his golden retriever Leo and daughter to his local parks.

Ms. Sasha Bekker is a highly experienced and qualified dental hygienist who has been working in the field for over two decades. A graduate of Dental Hygiene School in Adelaide, Sasha has worked as a clinical dental hygienist and an educator in the field, giving her a wealth of knowledge to draw upon.

She joined our team at Better Smiles Bondi Junction in 1995, and has been providing outstanding care to our patients ever since. Sasha is passionate about her work and takes great pride in helping her patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

She is always willing to answer questions and address concerns, making her an excellent resource for both new and existing patients. We are fortunate to have Sasha on our team, and we know that she will continue to be a valuable asset to our practice for many years to come.

Dr. Michael Tveshor General

Principal Dentist of Better Smiles Bondi Junction (general)

Dr. Tveshor started his career as a dental technician for 19 years making crowns, bridges, implant supported fixed and removable prosthesis as well as other appliances.

Then later he decided to advance his education and in 1993 he graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry Sydney University with first class Honours and the University Medal.

Michael is passionate about preventive dentistry. His approach is more conservative and less invasive which results in the pain-free procedure. He emphasises on preventive measure to conserve tooth structure and implant, a holistic approach. He also has a passion for finding simple or complex smile improvement solutions by improving teeth colour/shade, symmetry, shape/form,size and position built on a healthy smile foundation achieved via implementing a specific personalised oral hygiene technique rational.

Michael attends continuing education courses and keeps advancing his skills and knowledge in his key areas of interest, which include:

  • Crowns, bridges, implants, veneers using latest aesthetic restorative materials
  • Various implant systems utilised including Astra Tech, Straumann, Nobel Biocare and mini dental implants Imtec or Intralock
  • Bite and parafunction assessment
  • Snoring appliances and splints

Dr. Igor Brook General

Principal (general) dentist of Better Smiles Bondi Junction

Dr. Brook graduated in 1973 from a Medical School in Ukraine. After immigrating to Australia in 1979 he was accepted into the Masters Program by the Dental faculty of Sydney University, which he successfully completed in 1982.

In 1983 he opened his surgery in Lane Cove and in 1994 was joined by Dr. Michael Tveshor.

The Bondi junction surgery was opened in 1994.

Dr Brook’s particular interests in dentistry include Prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, removable prosthetics) and dental implantology.

His rare moments of leisure he devotes to travel, photography, reading and snorkeling.

Dr. Akhilkesh PavinDentist

Akhi got his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India and started working in Australia in 2010 as an associate dentist in Moree. He spent 3 years in Moree before joining our team.

Before coming to Australia, Akhi spent 3 years at a hospital in India, assisting in oral surgery for major trauma. He also spent 2 years as a lecturer at a dental college.

In 2011 his interest in dental implants was sparked, and he got a Certificate in Implantology in 2013. In 2014 went to Colombia for advanced surgical training in implantology.

Recently in 2019 Akki has successfully completed his MSc in Oral implantology, Germany and awarded a Fellowship by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Lawrence Burke Dentist

Dr Lawrence Burke is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for his patients. He prides himself on listening to patients’ specific concerns, collaborating to form different treatment plans, and utilizing the latest in modern dental technology to achieve great outcomes, in a safe and gentle setting.

Lawrence first graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Science, then the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2017.

Lawrence started his career working in public practice in the Bayside of Melbourne, working with patients from a broad range of cultural backgrounds, gaining expertise in oral surgery and root canal therapy. He then moved into private practice, with a special interest in restorative dentistry (Fixing broken teeth with fillings and crowns) and cosmetic dentistry (tooth whitening and veneers).

Lawrence likes to stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry, completing further training in the areas of oral surgery, crown and bridge and Invisalign. He is also passionate about patient education, and teaching his patients how they can maintain a happy and healthy smile.

Lawrence recently swapped the cold of Melbourne for the beaches of Sydney. Outside of the dental practice you’ll find him on the golf course or surfing at Maroubra and Bondi.

Dr Neil Lutton Principal Dentist

With a special interest in orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry, Neil works extensively with smile design and is a Platinum Invisalign Provider. Neil’s expertise has been recognized internationally and he now regularly lectures in aesthetic orthodontics to General Dental Practitioners around Australia as well as publishing articles on short term orthodontics in professional journals.

Neil graduated from England’s foremost dental school in 2002 and after completing his vocational training in Northumberland he moved to London were he spent several years working in London’s prestigious west end, taking a special interest in Cosmetic dentistry and smile makeovers.

Neil completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Warwick in 2008 and is currently completing further Postgraduate training in Aesthetic Dentistry.

Originally from Ireland, Dr Lutton moved to Australia in 2009. Neil lives in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs with his wife, Kalinda and his two sons Archie and Wesley. His interests outside of dentistry include playing the guitar badly, listening to Classic Rock running and “armchair” rugby.
